Paypal isn’t real money

The last thing I bought with Paypal. Isn't she lovely?

I have a problem. I don’t regard Paypal funds as real money. Yes, I can withdraw $p and have $cash in 3 working days – OR – I could blow it online at my favourite stores on things I don’t really need. I could withdraw it and pay bills, buy groceries, roll around in it – OR – I could buy a new handbag and have it on my doorstep overnight.

You see my problem.

I’m an instant gratification kind of girl. If I could buy a pizza delivery using paypal and get my spending thrill within 30 minutes or it’s free, I would.

I’m not a shopaholic, I just like browsing the internet for interesting things and if they happen to accept paypal and it’s faster to receive a product than cash, who am I to argue with the universe’s intention?

Things I can buy instantly WITH paypal Things I can’t
Shoes & accessories Groceries
Books Phone bills
Homewares Medicine
Appliances Insurance
Clothing Rent
This blog hosting
Computer parts
Toys
Gadgets

I can even buy pretend money for games with my pretend money in paypal!

While I am aware that funds got into paypal through some effort on my part, ie something akin to work, it never really filtered through to the adult section of my brain. Paypal funds are for frittering. Not on complete rubbish of course, I don’t buy statues of mice dressed up for tea parties, but on things I don’t really need. Just want.

So whenever you see an advertisement on this blog, or a sponsored post, you can be sure I was no doubt paid for with paypal and that I immediately converted that pocket money into crap a much desired commodity.

What was the last frittery thing you bought?

Laptop table. Didn’t need it, kind of regretting it. Hopefully it won’t be utter shit when it arrives.

Totally get this. I don’t consider paypal real money either, because it doesn’t have to pass through the family budget. Win.
